Istanbul Clear Aligner (Invisalign) — Deltadiş Oral and Dental Health Polyclinic

Clear aligners are a series of custom-made, transparent trays worn over the teeth to move them gradually into a new position. Treatment begins with a digital scan of your mouth, from which the full sequence is planned and produced. Invisalign is one of the systems used in this approach.

Because the trays are removable, you take them out to eat and to brush, which means your everyday oral hygiene routine does not change. There are no metal brackets or wires, so the cheek and lip irritation associated with fixed appliances is avoided, and the trays are difficult to notice in conversation.

Clear aligners are not the right answer for every case. They tend to work well for mild to moderate crowding, spacing, and bite irregularities. Where tooth movement is more complex, fixed braces may remain the more appropriate option, and an honest dentist will tell you so. Only a clinical examination, with X-rays, can establish which applies to you.

Results also depend on you: the trays need to be worn around 20 to 22 hours a day.

Treatment starts with an examination and a digital scan at the clinic. Your dentist reviews your teeth, gums, and bite before any aligners are produced, and the digital plan lets you see the projected end position before you commit to anything.

From there, you move through the sequence of trays, changing to the next one every one to two weeks. How long the whole course runs depends entirely on how far your teeth need to travel, and that is something your dentist establishes after examining you rather than something we can quote in advance.

If you live outside Turkey, the practical questions matter: how many times you would need to come to Istanbul, whether trays can be sent to your home address, whether check-ups can be handled remotely, and whether another dentist could take over the later stages where you live. We would rather you raise these at your first consultation than assume an answer. Your dentist will go through what is workable for your case and your travel situation before treatment begins.

An initial examination with a digital X-ray is offered free of charge. After it, you receive a written treatment plan setting out what is proposed and what it would cost, so you can take the plan away and think it over, or compare it with advice you have had elsewhere. What the figure depends on is the case itself: how much movement is needed, how long the sequence runs, and whether any other treatment is required first.
